It&#8217;s important therefore to make sure that while using the computer we won&#8217;t do any harm to our body.</p>

It is taught in performance schools of music, acting, circus, dance, and some Olympic level sports trainings. It&#8217;s used for regaining balance and ease of motion. Breathing will improve, often stuttering disappears and one recovers from voice loss. By applying the Alexander Technique we avoid the repetition of bad habitual behavior. Since Body and mind are a unity, the coordinated body movements have a positive influence on personnel confidence, depression, phobias, and anxieties. Release of excessive pressure on the Spine, will decrease or dispose back problems. Students report freer movements, improved awareness and balance, better quality of life.</div>

<p>What to expect from an Alexander Technique Lesson.<span id="more-11"></span></p>

<li>An Alexander Technique Lesson will take about an hour. The first lesson serves as an introduction and provides you with comprehensive information.</li>

<li>Alexander Technique is a learning process. It is taught one to one. During the whole lesson the pupil remains fully clothed.</li>

<li>In a brief talk the pupil expresses his objectives.</li>
</ul>

<li> As a teacher I use manual guidance and verbal instruction to fit the pupil&#8217;s needs.</li>

<li> The pupils learn to apply the Alexander Technique by themselves in their daily activities.</li>

<p>The technique was developed in the 1890&#8242;s by F.M. Alexander.<span id="more-4"></span></p>
<p>F.M. Alexander was an Australian actor who developed this method, called today the Alexander method, in the 1890s. In an effort to regain his voice after experiencing vocal trouble, Alexander found several fundamental principles governing human functioning. With this new discovery, Alexander rid himself of his vocal troubles while changing unwanted habits, improving his coordination and breathing and overall well-being.</p>
<p>He went on to develop a method for teaching others, how to stop interfering with their natural poise and return to a balanced, healthy state.</p>
